As the May 31, 2026 registration deadline approaches, we want to help everyone avoid last‑minute surprises and keep the tour planning (and pricing) fair for all participants.

Fee change after May 31

The car & driver fee is US$280 when paid on time. After May 31, 2026 the car/driver fee becomes US$305 (an increase of US$25).

What counts as “on time” for mailed checks

For mailed payments, a check is considered “on time” if it is postmarked on or before May 31, 2026.

Important: Completing the online registration form does not by itself meet the deadline — payment must also be mailed on time.

Online registration requires mailing a check too

Online registration is available. It's faster and helps us capture your details accurately, but it still requires payment by mail: you’ll receive an acknowledgement, and then you send a check for the amount owed. Please don’t wait until the evening of May 31 to register online. If your check isn’t postmarked by May 31, you're payment will be late.

When you are “registered”

Short answer: When your fees are paid.

To keep things simple and consistent:

  • We’ll acknowledge your registration request quickly upon receipt, and

  • Your registration is confirmed when your payment is received and recorded.

(When your check is received, your registration status is updated and you’ll receive an updated confirmation reflecting your account status.)

Check your spam folder

All confirmations are sent by email from info@mtfci2026.org to the email address you provide us. We ensure every message sent is confirmed as delivered by your email provider and at that point it is in your hands. We also obey anti-spam rules. Your provider may still judge our message as spam and put it in your spam folder, not your inbox. You need to check spam regularly, or even better, create a rule for your provider (called "whitelisting") defining messages from info@mtfci2026.org as not spam.

Why we have a late fee

The US$25 increase after May 31 helps cover the real added costs created by late registrations — for example, purchases made after quantity discounts end and the need to order additional items (including car banners) so we can accommodate late registrations. This helps ensure those costs are paid by late registrations, rather than being absorbed by those who registered on time.

If your registration is late or your payment arrives too close to the tour

If your registration arrives after the deadline, or if your payment is received too late to be processed in time, we will contact you before you travel with options to settle any balance owing. Any amount owing must be settled before tour materials can be issued, which allow participation in the tour.
